Even the rocks cry out.

I will ponder the glorious splendor of Your majesty and all Your marvelous works. They shall speak of the might of Your wondrous acts, and I will tell of Your greatness. They shall publish the remembrance of Your great goodness; they shall sing of Your righteous deeds. Psalm 145:5-7

Hearken to my voice, O LORD, when I call; have mercy on me and answer me. You speak in my heart and say, “Seek my face.” Your face, LORD, will I seek. Psalm 27:11-12

All this pain
I wonder if I'll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change, at all
All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found?
Could a garden come out from this ground, at all?
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
All around,
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found, in You
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
Oh, you make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
You make me new,
You are making me new
You make me new,
You are making me new.  –Gunther

The stillness of it all.

Pondering.

Weighing hope.
Turning my back on fear.

The patient craftsmanship sweeping and curving and soaring. Yet it was crashing and smashing torrents that formed beauty through the millennia, centimeter by centimeter, layer by layer.

Dust.

Dear Rachel heard again and again my gratitude that we were hiking up and up and over through bright red packed dust, rather than the dreadful decomposed granite of the Catalinas.

You make beautiful things out of dust.

Your marvelous works.
Your wondrous acts.
Your great goodness.

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
You make me new.

And in this stillness,
I will ponder the glorious splendor of Your majesty.

His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

Peace.
Far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.
