To You belong all nations.

Vindicate the weak and
fatherless;
Do justice and maintain the rights of the afflicted and destitute.
Rescue the weak and needy;
Rescue them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 82:3-4

Who is there upon
earth that has no poor, miserable, sick, erring ones around him? Why does he
not exercise his love to those? Why does he not do to them as Christ has done
to him? –Martin Luther
My
Saturday prayer: … LORD please make me ever aware of Your Spirit, moment by moment wisdom,
quicken my spirit to immediate, full-of-faith obedience. Cause me to be thankful…this obedience
results in a joy that brings glory to you.
I pray that that I will hear Your voice and follow it.
Selah.
Each and every day my emailbox fills up with dozens of messages from Las Alitas along the lines of "First bus of 50 on the way in. As we say in the south, Y’all come!" and "Clothing/Donation room requests:

2T and 3T pull-ups" as ICE and BP fill up bus after bus with poor, miserable, sick folk who have spend day after day in their holding pens with only water and crackers to sustain them, having all of their possessions taken away, even their sweaters and jackets as they sleep on rocky ground with their sniffling nosed toddlers, and drop them off at the backdoor of the Benedictine Monastery. And almost 1,500 volunteers are there day after day as well, filling plates with warm rice and beans, sorting donated clothing and shoes, filling lunch sacks for long bus rides, mopping and emptying garbage cans, and doing medical check-ups. Happy volunteers ever so blessed to be able to serve.
Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding... She (wisdom) is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called happy. - Proverbs 3:13, 18
