His mother stored up all these things in her heart. Luke 2:51
Image what it would be like to be Mary. She really knew that God was at work on His plan, very tangibly- this baby who swelled up in her belly- but certainly she had no idea where this plan would or how it would unfold. No idea whatsoever. So, it seems that she remained open-hearted... trusting God and this odd child who said he "was about His Father's business," storing up the memories in her heart. Resting in trust... but curious, how would it all fit together.
I too. Can trust God to keep His promises, even if I can't imagine what the future will possibly look like.
I am thankful for the dinners by the fireplace under the twinkle lights tossing in the wind, for the very kind young men we have living here from Germany and Moldova, for warm hand-knit blankets, Sunday morning newspapers, and a God who is at work in spite of goofy crazy embarrassing politicians. And for http://www.explorefaith. org/prayer/fixed/hours.phpv that is read all around the world, by thousands and thousands of people from all walks of life, just as the sun is coming up. Around and around. The Call to Prayer. the Request for Presence. A Reading. The Cry of the Church. A Prayer. Around and around.
